What I learned in Gainesville, GA while on AIM campus this past semester! While I am so sad this chapter is ending, I am so thankful for all that God did in my time there and beyond excited for Costa Rica!

  1. Simplicity and slowness is actually beautiful
  2. Abandonment is freeing
  3. There is more to life than what society says
  4. I am a daughter and have the authority to walk as such
  5. Jesus is my home; home is wherever I’m abiding in him
  6. He is enough
  7. He is SO good
  8. There is beauty and purpose in every season
  9. Kenzie and I are bad at walking down the AIM stairs
  10. I can and do hear his voice
  11. He wants me to be a child
  12. Always make sure your rainfly is closed
  13. I get to live in a constant state of worship
  14. There is always more of him and he will give it to us when we seek him
  15. Breakfast burritos are bomb
  16. I get to have open hands
  17. He is a God of growth and is capable of radical change
  18. He brings life out of death
  19. Pray consistently for low humidity and no rain on laundry days
  20. Don’t take people and time for granted
  21. Everyone is worth pursuing
  22. Taco Tuesday is the best day at AIM and stir fry days are a close second
  23. There is nothing like worshipping with your squad
  24. True community calls you higher, fights for you, and pushes you to grow
  25. Vulnerability leads to vulnerability
  26. True rest comes from the father
  27. Carter Groves is the king of dad jokes
  28. I’m not entitled to anything
  29. Life is worth celebrating
  30. If you live with 40 people it will always be a mess. Always.
  31. To truly live is to be wholeheartedly chasing after the father

  34. If you’re road tripping with team agape it will be a tswift therapy session and Becca will have to get ice cream at the gas station

  39. A lot of growing pains come with a lot of growth

  45. If you’re driving with Madie and Gabe you’ll get a full on concert and Madie will still execute killer dance moves while driving
  46. He is desperate for us to know him and kind enough to intentionally show himself to us
  47. He never lets go; he is always holding my hand
  48. Check for snakes before you bucket shower
  49. We get to live from the approval of God instead of for the approval of God
  50. “aw tender”
  51. Be ever so careful not to drop your shirt in the dirty shower water
  52. You can’t give what you don’t have
  53. Darkness can’t live where light is; Satan has no place in the presence of Jesus
  54. Forgiveness leads to freedom
  55. Squad church Sundays are the best
  56. Surrender is a continual, every day process we get to choose
  57. He doesn’t have visitation rights he has habitation rights
  58. Peanut butter is very important
  59. World racers know how to make memes
  60. He uses everything for his glory
  61. Spicy uno is very intense
  62. When an email starts with “dear racers” its definitely not what you want to hear
  63. He is faithful, constant, and steadfast, and sovereign even in the uncertainty
  64. “as you should”
  65. Georgia’s sunrises and sunsets are everything
  66. He offers unshakeable joy and hope
  67. I am not supposed to be comfortable
  68. I am known, seen, and cared for by Jesus; he is more than a distant God but and intimate father
  69. I am defined by him alone
  70. Go flowerpicking in fields and dance in the rain
  71. Musical chairs with hailey gets very intense
  72. The samaritan’s purse shirt, camo hat, and flannel give me home depot worker vibes
  73. If you stand in a lake in November for three hours you won’t be able to feel your feet for a while
  74. He is kind and patient
  75. Have grace for yourself and others
  76. AIM campus is my favorite place in the world
  77. The days when the porta potties get cleaned are the best days
  78. Showers=karaoke time
  79. You can use a hairdryer to make grilled cheese
  80. I love Gap D with all of my heart and they are the best family I could ever ask for

  2. 38 is my favorite of course, haha! 55, I’ve been to a Squad D worship and guessing church is even better! 62, yesss, I feel ya on that one! 79, never tried, will take your word for it and try one day! Good stuff and fun, thanks!!
