Hey! I got to experience my first ever real fall this year in Georgia, and the Lord has been speaking to me through nature so much! I wanted to share what the Lord revealed to me about the color yellow and the changing of leaves, so here’s a short lil journal entry about it.

“Isn’t it beautiful that this tree is yellow. Isn’t it beautiful that this tree will still be beautiful after its leaves fall off and it’s barren. And it will still be beautiful when it’s covered with snow, when that snow melts off, and when it grows big green leaves back. Isn’t it beautiful that every season has a purpose even if it looks different. Isn’t it beautiful that yellow is a color of life but also a color of death. That the same yellow of the sun and flowers is found in dying leaves. Isn’t it beautiful that those leaves still look beautiful in the process of death. Isn’t it beautiful that they move exactly how he tells them to, they fall off exactly when he says to. Isn’t it beautiful that God uses death to bring life. Isn’t it beautiful that soon this tree will be barren but hold just as much beauty and worth and purpose. Isn’t it beautiful that when we let things die, life and growth comes with it. Isn’t it beautiful that it doesn’t stop with death but he can always bring life. Isn’t it beautiful that he’s not done with us, that he promises to bring more abundance, more life, more beauty.”

ALSO SURPRISE: MY SQUAD WILL BE LAUNCHING TO COSTA RICA IN EARLY JANUARY!!! We are SO stoked for how God is going to move! Ministry will look like working with sex trafficking victims, children’s ministry, evangelism, community outreach, and more! I am still $1,600 away from my deadline and $5,200 from being fully funded. Please pray and ask the Lord if he is inviting you to advance the kingdom and be a part of my journey through prayer or financial support. If you know of anyone who might feel led to support me, please reach out to me. I will give more details about Costa Rica soon! Thank you so much for all of your support 🙂

  1. Beautifully written. So excited to see the Lord working in you on your journey. So proud of you!

  2. A very beautiful description of fall and our Christian faith, life from death, “yellow is a color of life but also a color of death”…”he promises to bring more abundance, more life, more beauty.”..”God uses death to bring life”. I see it as a version of John 12:24, “unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” Thanks for sharing.
