Okay guys, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…
T-shirt sales are here!!! I am writing this post to inform you and encourage you to buy one, but I also want to emphasize the meaning behind the design.
As you can see, the shirts say “the harvest is plentiful.” This is from Luke 10:2 – “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Pray to the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his field.” Whenever I think of missions, I think of this verse. I think a lot of the time we are quick to underestimate God and his Kingdom. We see the statistics of unreached people groups and areas, churches in the western culture dying, Christians being persecuted, the list could go on. Many people hear such and wonder, is his kingdom advancing? Will they really be able to reach them? People doubt and forget his power. It is easy to see what isn’t of the kingdom because the kingdom isn’t of this world. We can’t always see the kingdom advancing because the kingdom isn’t tangible- it is eternal. In Luke 10:2, Jesus tells us that his kingdom is ready to be multiplied. He tells us there are people waiting, searching, and longing. He tells us that there is, in fact, a harvest; not just a harvest, an abundant harvest. He continued to say the workers are few. This problem has a solution- praying and doing. In the next verse, he says “Now go; I am sending you out like lambs among the wolves.” In these few sentences, Jesus provides so much hope and gives us so much purpose. He is calling us to something so much bigger than ourselves; he is calling us to an unstoppable, unshakeable, forever-reigning kingdom. The truth is, every believer is called to this, regardless of where they are, who they are, or what they have. He has not only given us this opportunity, but he has equipped us to carry out the task. He wants to use us; we just have to take a leap of faith. Put on a kingdom mindset! Accept, advance, and anticipate the kingdom, because it is coming! Rejoice in the kingdom!!!
The Lord has been revealing areas of doubt in my own heart and teaching me to be expectant, believing and boldly asking of him. With that being said, I have a fundraising goal of $5,000 by April 1st. I know that he will carry out everything in his will and in his timing. I am asking that you would pray for this goal to be met, and give if you feel led.
