This week I received my key from Keys for the Journey. Keys for the Journey makes hand stamped jewelry that serves as a tangible daily reminder to be in prayer over a specific area of your journey with the Lord. I purchased an “ask for a word” key. I read it the first time, then I read it as a statement from the Lord himself. “I am the one who will go before you. I will be with you. I will not leave you or abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” This hit me even harder. These are the promises of God. The promises I sometimes forget as I’m consumed in this world, in the stress of work, school, and just life. The promises of a God who never changes. The promises that have power to silence and still an anxious mind.
