While in Costa Rica, My squad is partnering with The Hope Project for ministry! I thought I would tell you guys a little about their ministry and their heart behind it!

What is The Hope Project?

The Hope Project is (shockingly) about bringing hope to the people of Costa Rica! Based out of inner city San Jose, they aim to bring people out of both material and spiritual poverty through equipping, empowerment, and discipleship. Rather than providing temporary relief or contributing to a poverty mindset, the Hope Project comes alongside individuals to show them that they are capable of getting and staying out of spirtual and material poverty.

What ministries do they offer?

The hope project works to restore and maintain 4 primary relationships:

Relationship with self, God, others, and creation. All of their ministries are based off of such.

Some of their ministries include:

The Refuge- Pregnancy center

Waves of Grace- Bracelet making program for women

Business Club/Kingdom economics

House of Raw- Dance ministry

English Club

Counseling- trauma and healing, addiction, etc.

Community outreach/Evangelism

Children’s ministry

And more!

My squad will be getting to partake in all of these ministries, as well as coming up with and implementing new ideas for them. The hope project is very passionate about stewarding spiritual gifts and abilities well, and they empower to use those in any way possible, meaning there are many options for creativity. We will also be partaking in a discipleship hour every day in order to ensure we are also being poured into (they have a big heart for discipleship!). And we get to take Spanish class in return for teaching English! We are super stoked and the Lord is already moving so much! Please be praying for my squad, Til He Returns, and all of the people we will have the blessing of meeting.
